Artist Statement
I live in the space between the scriptures. The unfolding parts. The breaks from one scripture to the next. Always in transition to my heaven and home. Like a single mark in motion that never ceases even when there is no visible substrate; the art, the transition, never stops. All becomes forevermore.
My art is an extension of my relationship with My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Through it, I document my journey , though, always hoping to give the viewer a whisper from heaven and a glimpse of eternity.
"'For in him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, "'For we are indeed His offspring'"
— Acts 17:28
Painting and creating art with and for people is how I share the love God gives me. Believer or not, know you'll be greeted with a lot of love, joy, and a big smile if ever our paths cross. I believe the support and continuation of the artist is crucial to our society. Art continues through every age because its a part of us and helps us to define, accept, relate, and find hidden answers that other things are unable to give us about our lives, others, the world we live in, and God. Sometimes, when we can't see, we can turn to art to give us the visual that may help us find what we may be searching for.
I am a traveling artist, painting skyscapes, heavelyscapes, and beautiful marriages. I paint with children at festivals and teach art classes to ages 2-99. I live and work from the Village of Folsom where I enjoy plein air painting, being active in my community and church community, and being near my family, friends, and free-spirited dog named Shiloh.
